OfflineAuth ("the app") is a two-factor authentication (2FA) code generator. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is protected.
OfflineAuth does not collect personal information on a remote server. The app has no analytics, no advertising, no user accounts, and no backend server operated by us for storing your 2FA data.
The 2FA account details you add, such as service name, account name, and secret key, are stored locally on your device so the app can generate authentication codes.
If you create an optional PIN, the PIN itself is not stored; only a salted, hashed representation is stored for verification.
Your 2FA data does not leave your device through the app unless you explicitly choose a feature such as creating or sharing an encrypted backup. You are responsible for protecting any backup file you create or share.
The camera may be used to scan 2FA QR codes. QR-code images are processed on your device for this purpose and are not intentionally uploaded to our servers. You can manually enter account information instead of using the camera.
We do not sell, rent, or transmit your 2FA account data to third parties.
The app is designed to operate offline. If a future version integrates a third-party service, this policy will be updated before that service is used to process personal information.
OfflineAuth does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other users through a remote account system.
Because sensitive 2FA information is stored locally, you should use your device's screen lock and keep your device and backups secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features or data practices change. The updated policy will be published on this page.
For privacy questions, contact the app developer through the contact information provided on the app's official store listing.
